Incoming President's Message for 2012

Hello and welcome to all current and new members of the Ballina Malibu Club.

We have had 2 comps so far this year with some great surfing and the pleasure of new members to the club, the next comp is on Sunday 1st April.

Due to unfortunate circumstances Grant Edwards has resigned as president of Ballina Malibu Club. At an executive meeting held on Monday 19 March, I was appointed as President with Mick Wilson as Vice President. I would like to that this opportunity to thank Grant and the all of committee for all the hard work done so far this year.

Grant will remain a member of BMC and we look forward to catching a few waves with him in the surf, however he sees this as an opportunity to spend more quality time with his son Alex.

Eric Walker has once again taken on the best and won at the recent Noosa festival of Surfing winning the over 60’s division. Eric has competed at the festival 20 times, winning 12 events, finishing second 3 times and third 3 times.

To all those members that are travelling we wish you all a Safe trip, fair winds and good surf.
